Bob was born and raised in Bozeman, Montana. He received a Dean’s scholarship to attend Montana State University-Bozeman. While in college, Bob was an intern to the Montana Constitutional Convention in 1972 and graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government. He graduated from Gonzaga University Law School in 1975 and then worked for 1 year as a Law Clerk f or the Montana Supreme Court before beginning the practice of Law in Billings in 1977. In 1982 he opened his own Law Office.

Bob and his wife, Sharon, have one teenager, Kelly, who attends Billings Skyview High School. Bob has been involved in youth sports, including baseball, soccer and basketball. His interests include skiing, fishing, hiking and traveling.

Bob has been active in the community, including being past State Legal Counsel for the Montana Jaycees, past president of Yellowstone Leaders, and a board member of the Magic City Soccer Club.

Bob’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Montana Trial Lawyers Association, the Montana Bar Association, and the Yellowstone County Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in Montana State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Montana.
